Today has been BUSY!

I had a Chiro appt. this morning.  The Dr. said if my back doesn’t start feeling better soon he wants to do an MRI to see if there is a problem with a disc.  I will see the Physical Therapist tomorrow and see what they recommend.

After the Chiro I had lunch with ML.  That was fun, but not near long enough.  With all the clean/fix/sort mess at home we haven’t had much opportunity to just TALK!  It was a quick lunch, but nice to focus on each other.  After lunch I went to the Comisery!  I HATE going to the KAFB Comisery!  It is very small with very little selection of ANYTHING!

When I got home we got the groceries put away and then I went to work in the Little Girls room.  It is DONE!  YIPPEE!  I sent 2 boxes of outgrown clothes to my sister in New Hampshire, filled a black trash bag of clothes & STUFF to take to the goodwill & filled a trash bag.  All the toys are sorted and the room has been rearranged to look more spacious and open.

K1 has been working in her room and it is looking really good too.  I don’t need to do much in there as it is HER room and HER stuff!  K2 has also been working in his room.  His room HAS to be done before he leaves for camp.  It is HIS stuff and I shouldn’t have much to do in there except make a few suggestions.

The Den & mudroom still need some work, but it should be manageable tomorrow.  My desk is the biggest part of the mess in the den right now.  It is so DIFFICULT to keep it neat!

OK, ML really wants me to watch a movie with him, so I am signing off.

I think my back is finally starting to feel better. ML has insisted that I see a chiropractor and it has helped a lot. After my appt. yesterday my back almost pain free! But then I crawled around on the kitchen floor with a scrub brush and a bottle of bleach! And I spent the afternoon cleaning the entire kitchen, top to bottom! Then after ML got home from work we had dinner and then ran to the store for a few more supplies. When we got home we spent about 2 hours out working the yard & flower beds. I had to dig up some flower bulbs and space them apart more, then we put out fresh mulch to liven everything up…it looks really nice!

OK, on my list of things yet to be done:

  • De clutter dining roomI have a good start here, there isn’t much left in there…CONSTANT battle here
  • De clutter laundry/mud roomI have a good start here, but there is still MUCH to do!…CONSTANT battle here
  • De clutter schoolroom/den…CONSTANT battle here
  • CLEAN school room/den
  • clean windows and doors in school room
  • clean all baseboards and trim in den, mudroom, dining room, kitchen, hallway, living room, little girls room, big girls room, boys room, MB Room, main bathroom, MB bath,
  • Paint main bathroom & repair ceiling texturing…ML was working on this last night and the texturing just peeled off the ceiling!
  • touch up paint in hall, kitchen, girls’ rooms,
  • paint LR, rearrange & clean out entertainment center

OK…that is all I can think of right now. If you can think of anything that I should/could add to my list, please let me know. As you can see I have a problem with clutter!

It doesn’t always feel like I am accomplishing much, but the items are getting marked off so I must be doing SOMETHING! OK, I’m off to work in the LR on the entertainment center.

PM Update!  I have been a very busy bee today!  I have managed to get a lot of items crossed off my list!  YIPPEE!  But there is still much to be done.  I have a load of stuff in the truck to drop off at Goodwill tomorrow after my Dr. appt.  So much to do…so little time!

AND we have the appt. with the Realtor!  She will be here Friday about 4PM to take pictures and sign paperwork!  I’m so nervous that we won’t be finished!  But it is what it is!

And the appt. made to put the house up for sale.  This is really scary for us!  We have never gone into the unknown like this.  Everytime we have moved we have had orders in hand and KNEW exactly where & when we would be moving.  But this time, we are taking a step of faith.  We are putting the house up for sale, and when we have a contract we will be finding a rental.  Very unnerving for me!

My back is still hurting!  I was up at 3 for more Ibuprofen and then I slept on the couch till ML woke up at 7, when I moved back to bed.  This back issue is terrible.  For those of you that have suffered with long term back issues, I can now sympathize with your misery.  Very gentle (((HUGS))) for all of you.

I have been having back pain issues since the middle of last week.  But Monday I woke up at 4:30 in so much pain that I could hardly move.  I had to get up and take a handful of Ibuprofin (about 2000mg).  It took about an hour for the meds to kick in and relieve some of the pain.  This has happened every day this week.  ML took me to the Dr. about it on Tuesday, but all they did was make an appt. for physical therapy and prescribe Motrin…good ole’ “Vitamin M”!   ML was really frustrated with the Dr.  So he made an appt. with a Chiropractor for me.  The Chiropractor took x-rays and my spine has an “S curve” in it.  Nothing too serious, but enough to be causing me a lot of pain.  So yesterday I had my first “adjustment”.  It hurt, but I did feel some relief.  I was praying the early morning pain wake up for meds would be over…but NOPE!  This morning I was up at 5, and just now starting to feel less pain.

Due to my back and Dr. appointments this week school has not been great.  The kids have been plugging along independently, but all I have been able to do with them is grade their work.  They are doing really well, I just NEED to be able to participate with them.  So, since I am up bright and early, I am getting some stuff ready!  We will have a good school day!

The house is looking good.  I think we will be calling a realtor this week to put the house up for sale.  We are prepared to find a rental or live in our trailer for as long as needed.  With the housing market being so slow right now we want to try to do whatever it takes to be out of the house BEFORE we move.  According to ML’s duty assignment here, he was sent here on a 3 year tour…we just went over 2 years on station.  Right after we moved they put an additional 12 months on everyone’s assignment here that is an instructor (ML’s job title).  But ML apparently did not receive that extension…so as far as we know we are eligible to move next summer…but we are praying God has something for us sooner than that!

OK…time to get busy working on some school stuff for the K Krew!

I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Happy Independence Day.  I am thankful for all the sacrifices and hard work that went into our Forefathers pulling this country together.  I am thankful for all the sacrifices that so many brave men & women have fought to keep this country free!
